Procedure: Buccal Fat Removal, Platysmaplasty

Details: This patient desired a slenderized lower face and under chin area. After a collaborative discussion, we performed a buccal fat removal to slenderize his lower face and a platysmaplasty to bring in the under chin area to create a profile he desired. After these procedures, he is left with a slimmer lower face and a profile that complements his features.

Procedure: Buccal Fat Removal, Platysmaplasty

Age: 30s

Details: This patient desired a slimmer lower face and under chin area with minimal scarring. We performed a buccal fat removal with small incisions that are hidden on the inside of her mouth. In order to tackle her genetic predisposition of having a fuller lower face and under chin area, we coupled this procedure with a platysmaplasty and submental liposuction that left her with a minimal scar underneath her chin. After these procedures, her lower face and under chin area are now slenderized to achieve her desired look.

Procedure: Chin Implant and Platysmaplasty (Deep Neck Contouring)

Details: This patient had been born with microgenia (or small chin) and desired more definition under her neck. Two procedures were performed to address this: a silastic chin implant as well as a platysmaplasty and deep neck contouring. These procedures were both performed with a small hidden incision under her chin. Care was taken not to overcorrect her chin with a too large of an implant, but at the same time large enough to provide a tangible result. Her contour is much improved, evidenced dramatically on the side views.

Procedure: Deep Plane Lower Facelift, Platysmaplasty, Neck lift

Details: This patient wished to have her lower jowls lifted along with her neck muscle bands (platysma bands) corrected. As we age the muscle bands under our neck can become more prominent. A small incision under her chin was utilized to bring those bands together (where they once were at a younger age) and then lifted in the deep plane layer hidden along the side of the face.

Procedure: Platysmaplasty with Deep Fat Removal

Details: This young patient desired a more youthful jawline, especially under her chin. A platysmaplasty was performed in the office wherein a significant amount of deep fat and muscle itself was trimmed and re-approximated creating a lifted neck. There was a small incision under the chin that usually heals without perception. Light submental liposuction was performed, however the bulk of the procedure focused on removing the deep fat that is hereditary. These photos were taken one week apart to show the amount of downtime which is usually 3-5 days.

Procedure: Platysmaplasty, Chin Liposuction, RF Microneedling

Details: This young patient was interested in reducing her under chin fullness. With a small incision under her chin, I performed a small amount of liposuction of her neck and then removed a large portion of her deep fat. Her platysma muscles were separated and then re-sutured together to provide a more lifted sling. There were no incisions along her neck, everything was done directly under the chin. The skin was treated with RF microneedling to tighten the whole structure. This patient also underwent buccal fat pad removal as well as an otoplasty to reset her prominent ears closer inline to her side profile.
