Procedure: In-Office Otoplasty
Details: This patient desired the outer edges of her ears be moved inward. With a small incision on the back of the ear, the outer edges were brought in with carefully placed sutures. This was performed in the office. Generally this procedure is called an otoplasty, however specifically for her we were forming a new antihelical fold that had been absent causing her ears to appear wide.
Procedure: Bilateral Otoplasty (Prominent Ear Reduction)
Details: This young patient underwent prominent ear surgery on both sides. Looking at the before photos, her right ear and to a lesser extent her left ear, was sticking out noticeably. With a small incision behind the ear, the top part of the ear was “refolded” to create a new fold that genetically had not been formed in this patient. The result is a much more reduced appearance of the outside borders of her ears.
